Mahalo! to Aloun Farms for donating a dozen large pumpkins so that students, staff and faculty could display their creatively crafted cuts at the Dept. of Plant and Environmental Protection Sciencesʻ annual Pumpkin Carving Contest!

“With social distancing guidelines in mind, voting for the top three pumpkins was carried out online and the winners were Dario Arizola, Alexandra Kong and Hanul Seo for first, second and third places, respectively,” says PEPS chair Koon-Hui Want. “Our students really appreciated the event, especially this year, giving them an opportunity to express their passion about bugs and germs in science.”

Stop by the PEPS office, Gilmore 3rd floor, and check them out (while theyʻre still fresh).
