Friday, October 6 - Join us for the CTAHR's October Cooking Show.  This month, FSHN Instructor Lara Hackney will lead us through recipes of One-Pot Pasta, Autumn Apple Salad, and Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Rolls!  All cooking kits have been reserved.  Please register to participate with your own ingredients.

CTAHR Alumni, friends and community partners gathered on August 19th at the Waimanalo Research Station for the 2023 Oahu Alumni and Friends BBQ. In partnership with CTAHR Extension, our ASAO office coordinated a fun day wherein participants were treated to tours of the facility's wili wili, aquaponics, plumeria and GoFarm Hawaii plots, interactive informational booths and a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by CTAHR instructors, staff and students. It was wonderful to see old friends reunited and new connections being made.

We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Catherine Chan, who has assumed the role of Interim Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs as of September 25, 2023. Catherine has been a dedicated member of the CTAHR ʻohana for over two decades, serving in various capacities, including as a faculty member in NREM, chair of NREM Department and the Graduate Program, NREM graduate and undergraduate advisor.

The CTAHR Academic and Student Affairs Office welcomes the College back to the new 2023 - 2024 Academic Year! To help welcome our new incoming and first-time students ASAO worked with each of our academic departments to host program-specific New Student Orientation sessions. During the first few weeks of the Fall 2023 Semester there were a series of 5 intimate NSO events. Some common agenda items included: a specific overview of students’ program and major, an introduction to current faculty, meeting CTAHR Student Ambassadors, and more! Together with departments we were able to carefully curate a unique experience for our incoming CTAHR undergraduate students!

We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the well-deserved promotion of Maile Sing to the position of Manager of Student Services in the Academic and Student Affairs Office. Maile's journey at CTAHR has been marked by dedication, passion, and an unwavering commitment to our students, making her the perfect fit for this position.
