CTAHR Alumni & Friends Oahu BBQ

CTAHR Alumni, friends and community partners gathered on August 19th at the Waimanalo Research Station for the 2023 Oahu Alumni and Friends BBQ. In partnership with CTAHR Extension, our ASAO office coordinated a fun day wherein participants were treated to tours of the facility's wili wili, aquaponics, plumeria and GoFarm Hawaii plots, interactive informational booths and a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by CTAHR instructors, staff and students. It was wonderful to see old friends reunited and new connections being made.

It was a hot one, but thanks to Beer Lab HI, Bitter Root Brewery, and Dr. Amjad Ahmad's mamaki tea, there were plenty of tasty refreshments to cool off with. A huge Mahalo goes out to all of the CTAHR Extension, faculty, staff, students, and partners who helped to make it such an awesome and fun-filled day.
