Welcome to Nolan Johnson, who has just started as a new agricultural research technician at Mealani Research Station in Kamuela. Johnson is pursuing a master’s degree from the Department of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences with an emphasis on irrigation management and should graduate at the end of spring semester. He comes to CTAHR with a wide and varied work experience, ranging from golf course superintendent to civil engineer. Now he’s getting hands-on training in caring for large animals, pasture management, and tea production…just a few more tools in his toolkit.
