A photo of Kaleigh Morrison, DVM, was featured on the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine & Veterinary Hospital’s Facebook page. A graduate of the ANSC program in HNFAS, Kaleigh went on to earn her DVM from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
MS alumna Silvia Gianetti Barber is featured in UH Foundation’s ‘Δ€ina initiative with an engaging interview and photographs. Silvia, who works as a scientist doing environmental assessment focusing on agriculture, property transactions, and litigation support, credits CTAHR’s master’s program with teaching her critical thinking and research skills.
The Waimanalo Research Station hosted the 2018 Oahu Landscape Industry Certified Technician (LICT) Program exam on September 22. Approximately 40 landscapers planted trees and performed many other tasks required in the profession. Representing CTAHR, Zhiqiang Cheng (PEPS) was one of the exam judges.
Don’t forget to go to the Fall Fair on Friday, September 21, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Gilmore Hall room 122. Along with the traditional ice cream-eating contest, this year’s Fall Fair will also include a grand opening ceremony for the new student lounge. Free pupus and ice cream sundaes will be provided to those who attend.
The Center on the Family is hosting a series of brown bag talks this fall. The first talk is Friday, September 21, from 12 to 1 p.m. in Miller 101. Lori Yancura (FCS) will speak on “Tri-Parenting or Try Parenting: Online Posts About a Non-Traditional Family Structure.” In tri-parenting, parental obligations and rights are held by more than two people.
