Now It’s 5-H!

Help is here for parents of kids cooped up in the house, thanks to Hawai‘i 4-H’s new Hale (home) Learning resources site.

The youth engagement program, which has been active in Hawai‘i for more than a hundred years, is now providing fun, free, hands-on educational activities that can be done at home. 4-H youth development agents throughout the state have collaborated to record short videos and presentations, and create crafts and projects, providing Hawai‘i kids with fun and interesting opportunities to get engaged and learn, from painting garden rocks to learning how to wrangle rabbits!

The activities support the main 4-H mission mandates of STEM and agriculture, healthy living, and civic engagement, as well as 4-H project-specific videos, challenges, contests, and other resources. New content is continually being added, so kids and parents can check back often for updates and additional resources.
