Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology (MBB)

Sea Snail LabMolecular Biosciences and Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary BS program focusing on using the cutting-edge tools of molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, tissue culture, and biochemistry to transform the environmental, medical, and agricultural sciences. Bioscience tools are harnessed to make products for and solve problems faced by society.

If you want to use biotechnology to develop pharmacueticals, economically and environmentally sustainable energy, pest controls, and other products, then MBB is for you.

Sea Snail Careers Opportunities include pharmaceutical research, genetic testing, aquaculture, large-scale production in bioreactors, environmental monitoring and cleanup (bioremediation), plant biotechnology, pathogen control, molecular diagnostics, and forensics.
