Overview

The Dietetics BS integrates the principles of food, nutrition, and biomedical sciences with human behavior and culture to analyze and design appropriate diets to promote health and prevent disease through food and nutrition. The degree is an accredited didactic program in dietetics through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Upon completion of the degree, an accredited dietetic internship and graduate degree is required to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

This program provides a high-quality, broad-based, didactic education with in-depth experiences in the sciences, management, and business that serves as the knowledge base for the required post-Baccalaureate experience component needed to become an RDN.
