Colossal And Cheerful: CTAHR at Mānoa Experience 2023
Mānoa Experience was back again on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 and it was no April fools! For those unfamiliar, Mānoa Experience, also known as the University Preview Day, is an open house type of event that is free to the public! It welcomes both prospective students, and now graduate students, as well as their families and the community to come and learn more about the programs and resources available at the University. It’s also a chance for many new students that have already been accepted for the Fall 2023 semester to step foot on campus and get to know current students and faculty of the programs that they have already set their sights on or are interested in.
CTAHR never disappoints when it comes to proudly representing our programs. This year, 63 of our dedicated faculty and students across all undergraduate and graduate programs at the college showed up to greet, interact, and spread knowledge to the visitors of our lush campus. We also offered fun experiences through tours with the help of PhD Entomology students Brad Reil and Khyl Austin with the Insect Museum and faculty member Lara Hackney and MS Food Science student Amanda Joya with the Certified Kitchen! We also gave out 15 gallons worth of lemonade to quench our visitor’s thirst and encourage them to get immersed in conversation, activities, and all the research being conducted by our various departments.
If you or your friends and family attended the event, you were one of over 2,200 people that had registered to attend! Check out the photos on our Flickr page linked here. We hope you had a fun filled day and will join us next year for an even bigger and better Manoa Experience with CTAHR!
