Upcoming Events and CTAHR Finals Week Festivities

CTAHR Alumni and Friends celebrated Arbor day in November with their 2nd annual sale at Magoon Research Station.  Mahalo for everyone's support!  Over $1800 in donations were received.

November's cooking show featured Thanksgiving themed dishes of Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Kabocha and Marshamallows, and a Mediteranean White Bean Soup.  If you'd like to catch up, the cooking show and recipes are posted on CTAHR's YouTube Channel.

With finals week quickly approaching, don't forget to take time to destress!  CTAHR's Academic and Student Affairs has organized 3 fun events to keep students well-nourished and in the holiday spirit.

December's Grab & Go - Come for our final Grab & Go!  Pick up produce and snacks on Monday, December 12th from 12:30-2:30 PM.  Many thanks to the Coalition to Stop Campus Hunger, CTAHR's Academic and Student Affairs Office, SAPFB, ASUH, Aloha Harvest, Go Farm Hawaii, Urban Garden Center's Fruit Hui, and the Chamber of Commerce for their support over the last 2 years.  Please register to save your spot.

December Cooking Show's Make & Take - Join FSHN Instructor Lara Hackney for special Make & Take sessions on Tuesday, December 13 from 11 AM - 12 PM for Kamaboko Dip and Cornflake Wreaths, as well as on Wednesday, December 14 from 1-2 PM for Artichoke Dip & Reindeer Chow.  Make and Take Sessions will be in-person at the CTAHR Student Lounge.  Ingredients will be available on a first-come first serve basis.  Help us prepare by sharing your interest!

CTAHR Gingerbread House Decorating Contest - Entries will be accepted Monday (12/12) - Wednesday (12/14), Voting on Thursday (12/15), and winners announced on 12/16.  To enter, please email a picture of your decorated house by Wednesday (12/14) at 11:55 PM.  CTAHR Swag will be awarded to the best individual, best team, and people's choice.  Gingerbread House Kits will be available on a first come first serve basis.  Help us prepare by sharing your interest! 

Cheer on our CTAHR Undergraduate Students at UHM's Undergraduate Showcase on Friday, December 9th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Zoom.  This academic conference highlights original research and creative work at UHM.  Please visit their website for the program and abstracts.
