Art and Science Do Mix!

In an effort to provide much needed relaxation time to CTAHR students, CTAHR Student Ambassadors held our first ever Paint With Us event on Thursday, January 21st.

Students who signed up were provided a full art set, including a variety of paints and brushes and an 8X10 canvas.  Local artist Dee Dee Taylor led the Zoom session, walking participants step by step through the process of painting a sunny sunflower to brighten any room.  It was not only an opportunity to be creative and learn new painting techniques, but to learn a little plant science as well…did you know that sunflowers have a lance ovate shaped leaf and the seeds are organized in a special mathematical sequence called Fibonacci?
