“Orchids and Anthuriums - A Discussion with Dr. Teresita D. Amore,” highlighted the latest episode of the podcast Plants, People, Science by the American Society for Horticultural Science. In this fun and lively episode, Tessie explains to hosts Sam and Lara her orchid and anthurium breeding program, the traits that growers and designers are looking for, the rewarding aspects of her job, and what led to her career.
A throng of landscapers, farmers, and residents showed up for Sterile Landscape Tree Field Day at the Waimānalo Research Station, hosted by Ken Leonhardt and Alberto Ricordi of the Dept. of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences. Since then, CTAHR has fielded multiple requests for an encore performance.
