Recruiting on the Move

CTAHR was well represented at the Fall 2017 college fairs. Starting with the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Fair, our academic advisors and student ambassadors (Mark Oandasan, FDM and Brent Shigano, MBB) met with students from all over Oahu. For the Hawai’i Association for College Admission Counseling (HACAC) interisland fairs, Irene Morrow attended the Maui Fair at Baldwin High School and Maui Community College. Maile Sing visited the Hilo Fair at the Edith Kanakaole Civic Center, the Kauai Fair at the Island Schools Wilcox Gymnasium, and Kauai Community College. Academic Support Specialist Mandy Chen attended the Kona Fair at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. These outer island fairs bused in students from all nearby high schools and middle schools for the rare opportunity to interact with both local and nationwide universities. At the community college level, our advisors hosted information tables and provided advising opportunities to prospective transfers. Altogether, the ASAO team was able to meet with over 250 prospective CTAHR students.
