UHM Invites High School Counselors to Campus

An estimated 130 counselors attended the High School Counselors Workshop on September 7th at the Campus Center Ballroom held by the UH Manoa Admissions Office. The purpose of the annual event is for counselors from all over the state of Hawaii to learn more about the different majors, departments, and programs offered by UH Manoa. Nearly 40 counselors engaged with our booth and, as expected, was most interested in our summer opportunity for high school students, the Hawaii AgDiscovery Program. It is a program for high school students to explore the different fields and careers within agricultural science while introducing them to CTAHR as a pathway. Counselors were also encouraged to subscribe to a monthly newsletter that highlights CTAHR’s programs and opportunities throughout the year. Feel free to share any opportunities you may have with ASAO to share the high school students and counselors. Mahalo to Lian Huang (BE) for volunteering to represent CTAHR!
