New Initiatives

This semester our advising office participated in a pilot program through STAR to reach out to students who are at risk academically. Twice in the semester, the faculty members teaching these students were contacted to provide feedback on student performance in their courses. Both advisors and students were notified of the academic progress. Our advising staff reached out individually to each at-risk student to discuss strategies for success or withdraw from the course if recommended.
