This is a map of all Kamehameha butterfly sightings submitted to the Pulelehua Project. The map will be updated as new observations are submitted and confirmed. To prevent collection of the butterflies by hobbyists, the map shows sightings by region, and does not disclose specific locations. The Kamehameha butterfly, like all native wildlife in Hawaii, is protected by law, and collecting is not allowed without a permit from the Division of Forestry and Wildlife.
