Who are we?

University of Hawai`i

A team at the University of Hawai`i @ Manoa College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources Cooperative Extension Service in the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences began developing the Hawai`i Communities For a Lifetime (HI-CFL) Project in 2012.  A pilot program initiated in Liliha resulted in expansion to other communities -- McCully-Mō'ili'ili, Kāne'ohe,  Kaimukī and Wahiawā. Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs State of Hawai`i

This website was created in partnership with the State of Hawai`i Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) to introduce a digital literacy component to the program as part of DCCA’s efforts to expand broadband adoption and use.

DCCA supports activities and programs to increase the usage of broadband level telecommunications and to promote digital literacy and computer ownership across the State.  To access online learning materials and resources, please visit the DCCA Digital Literacy page at http://cca.Hawai`i.gov/broadband/digital-literacy-resources/.
