For his dedication to supporting and enhancing invasive species management on Kauaʻi and throughout Hawaiʻi, Extension agent Roshan Manandhar is the recipient of the 2022 Hawaiʻi Invasive Species Awareness Month Kauaʻi Island MVP Award!
The award recognizes an individual, organization, or agency responsible for one of the major invasive species highlights in the areas of research, prevention, control, and/or public outreach on their island.
If you didn’t know by now (shame on you!), Roshan is the host of the perennially popular Invasive Pest Mini-Conferences (the next one is March 23, find out more).
“Special thanks to the Kauaʻi community for the nomination and Hawaiʻi Invasive Species Council for the award,” says Roshan. “This is a great honor for my work and endeavors to inspire and motivate me even further. Iʻm looking forward to continuing and better-serving Hawaiʻi for Invasive Pest Management and Extension. Thank you all who supported and collaborated with me. Please watch this award YouTube video.”
