Kelvin Sewake retired as Interim CTAHR Associate Dean of Extension on August 30, 2019. In appreciation for his 34 years of serving within CTAHR in various administrative roles and as Extension Agent in Floriculture & Nursery Crops, a farewell tea was held for him on September 3 at the Komohana Research & Extension Center in Hilo.
Offering their thanks for his years of service were (l to r): Lincoln Noa (TPSS), Sarah Rehkamp and Shannon Sand (NREM), Alyssa Cho (TPSS), JB Friday (NREM), Kiersten Akahoshi (Hawaiian Homelands), Max Breen (grad student, TPSS), Kelvin Sewake, Eli Isele (TPSS), Kathy Aoki Susan Miyasaka (CTAHR HI Island), Julia Zee (HNFAS), Becky Settlage (FCS), and Sharon Motomura Wages (TPSS). In addition, Sharon and Kiersten presented Kelvin with a certificate of Life Membership from the Hawaii Association of County Agricultural Agents. Kelvin, enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
