Localicious Art & Recipe Contest

Entries Open January 12, 2026 for the 2026 Localicious® Art & Recipe Contest!

The Hawai‘i Agricultural Foundation invites K–12 students statewide to participate in the 2026 Localicious® Art & Recipe Contest, a creative opportunity to reimagine school lunch while celebrating Hawai‘i’s local food system.

Presented by @HIGoodEnergy, students are encouraged to showcase a favorite family or cultural dish inspired by the theme, My Localicious® School Lunch Plate, that features at least one locally grown, raised, or caught Hawai‘i ingredient. Through art and recipe creation, students learn about local agriculture, food systems, and the people who grow our food—while helping support the future of school meals in Hawai‘i.

Entry Period: January 12 – March 2, 2026
Art Contest: Grades K–8
Recipe Contest: Grades 9–12

Art contest winners and recipe contest finalists will be announced April 30, 2026. Recipe contest finalists will compete in a live Localicious® Recipe Contest Cook-off in Summer 2026.
