1) It has been encouraged by the GSO that you call your congressional representatives to urge them to stop the HR1 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which could result in significant tax increases to graduate students. To contact your representatives, call the congress switchboard at 202-225-3121
2) The library survey regarding hours of usage and study habits of students at the university will be closing on November 24th, so if you want your voice to be heard, please fill out their survey.
3) An additional note, the library is going to be cutting 5% of current serial subscriptions beginning in the Spring Semester.
4) Congratulations to Nate Wehr for receiving a grant this month from the University GSO for over $700 to support his research into feral pig impacts on soil microbes.
