The Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering (MBBE) is involved in the teaching and designing of modern sustainable solutions for agricultural, energy, environmental, and health challenges facing Hawaii.  The department offers two undergraduate degrees in  Biological Engineering (BE), which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, and Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology (MBB).
