Access to the Lab

There are NO lab monitors. The lab users may enter the lab by entering the pre-assigned key codes.

Key Codes for Scheduled Classes
Each instructor and TA for a scheduled class will be given their own key code if they don’t have one already. These key codes will not expire, except upon termination of employment. Students in a scheduled class will be given a CLASS key code by their instructor. This code will expire at the end of the semester for which it was given.

The students may use the CLASS key code to enter the lab during their class periods, or other open hours when none of the restricted classes* are in session.

Key Codes for “Drop-in” Use
Any CTAHR faculty member may request a key code for him/herself as well as for students under his/her supervision. Expiration of these codes will depend on each situation. For example, CTAHR graduate students (not involved in any scheduled courses) can be given access codes which expire upon graduation and other CTAHR students (not registered in any scheduled classes) can be assigned codes expiring at the end of the semester for which it was given.

CTAHR faculty and students with these key codes may use it to enter the lab during open hours when none of the restricted classes* are in session.

*restricted class: only students registered in the class are allowed in the classroom.
