We are excited to announce the launch of the new Hawaiʻi Nutrition Center (HNC) website!
HNC is a partnership between the University of Hawaiʻi - College of Tropical Agriculture & Human Resources (CTAHR), Cooperative Extension, Hawaiʻi Foods, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Education (SNAP-Ed), and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP).
The HNC website is intended to serve as a central hub for information on Hawaiʻi food, nutrition, and healthy living interventions and resources to program partners and the general public.
Some key resources available on the website include:
- A Food Recipe and Nutrient Database that provides nutritional information for local foods and recipes.
- Materials for free nutrition education classes provided by EFNEP and SNAP-Ed.
- Information on interventions that promote building healthy communities throughout Hawaiʻi.
