Biosystems integration merges biomass production and biomass conversion into a sustainable, commercially-profitable, energy producing system and includes process design, economic analysis, and net-energy analysis or life cycle assessment. Opportunities to provide information on bioenergy systems include field days at the University of Hawaii’s research stations or at on-site research sites; non-degree workshop training; and formal credit courses at the University of Hawaii.
