CTAHR New Student Scholarships

Students have many opportunities to apply for UH Manoa Scholarships, College specific scholarships (ex: CTAHR), and Departmental scholarships (related to the degree you are pursuing). Separate applications are needed for these options. CTAHR will be offering the following scholarship opportunities to our new students, with declared CTAHR majors, who are starting in the Fall 2020 semester:

  1. The New Student Scholarship is available to all Fall 2020 incoming students, who are either freshmen or transfer students.  The Scholarship award is $2,000 ($1,000 fall semester/$1,000 spring semester).

  2. The Part-time Student Scholarship is available to all Fall 2020 incoming students, that are either freshmen or transfer students, who anticipate that they will only be enrolled part time (11 credits or below) during the fall 2020 semester, and/or subsequently, the spring 2021 semester. The Scholarship award is $2,000 ($1,000 fall semester/$1,000 spring semester).

  3. The First Generation Scholarship is available to all Fall 2020 incoming students, that are either freshmen or transfer students and who are first-generation college students. First generation college students are defined as first in their families to attend college, or, whose parents were never able to complete their bachelor’s degree. (Student's with a sibling that has already earned a bachelor’s degree, are not considered as a first-generation college student.) The Scholarship award is $2,000 ($1,000 fall semester/$1,000 spring semester).

Scholarships will be awarded to part and full-time classified students in CTAHR for the academic year 2020-2021. Recipients of all CTAHR scholarships and awards will be expected to volunteer in service-related activities for both the fall and spring semesters. Eligibility for future scholarships will be based on participation in the service related activities.
