A team of CTAHR students is merging sustainable agriculture with cutting-edge technology. The newly-launched Ag Innovation Project is tackling the challenges of modern farming through hands-on robotics and smart sensor integration.
We are scaling up our Summer Research Institute (SRI) across the state. This immersive educational program for high school and college students is designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world impact.
Our colleagues at the Children’s Healthy Living (CHL) Center of Excellence play a major role in the work to prevent childhood obesity through a unique blend of modern science and deep-rooted community action in Hawaii and across the Pacific.
We are reimagining our statewide footprint. We have launched a strategic initiative to transform our 22 Centers of Applied Research and Extension Services (CARES) into dynamic hubs of collaborative innovation. These are not merely research stations; they are the engines of community prosperity.
A lei is a profound symbol of friendship, and love in Hawaiʻi, weaving together people, communities, and the environment. CTAHR is working to ensure that this multi-million dollar industry transitions from a reliance on imports to a thriving model of local sustainability.
