The CTAHR ‘ohana is invited to the annual CTAHR Fall Fair on Friday, September 21, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Gilmore Hall room 122. That’s the site of the new student lounge, and the fair will include its grand opening ceremony! The student lounge is an important addition to the college, giving students a safe place to meet, study, and learn.
The Landscape Industry Council of Hawaii (LICH) is again inviting undergraduate and graduate students to submit abstracts for this year’s Student Poster Session at the LICH Green Industry Conference and Tradeshow, which will be held on October 10 at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow Elizabeth Winnicki presented her work on the genetic diversity of ‘uala (sweet potato) at the American Society of Plant Biologists’ 2018 Plant Biology Conference in Montreal.
Alan Martin—the first student pursuing a culinology degree through a 2+2 Kapi‘olani Community College+CTAHR food science program—is already putting his education to work as a baker at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
