Each year students in the life sciences at UHM present their research at the annual student-run Albert L. Tester Memorial Symposium. CTAHR students who participated last year include Nathaniel Wehr (NREM) and Michel Martinez-Sepulveda (TPSS, pictured). Now nominations are sought for next year's Tester Symposium keynote speaker.
Graduate student Blaire Langston (second from right) was among at the Hawai‘i Green Business Program honorees for helping organize UH’s Fifth Annual Sustainability Summit as a green event.
CTAHR students swept the poster presentation competition at UH Manoa’s first Plant Sciences Symposium. The student-run event was sponsored by CTAHR and DuPont Pioneer and featured speakers on the theme Phytobiomes for Sustainable Agriculture.
Molecular Biosciences and Biological Engineering graduate student Fernanda Oliveira’s assessment of environmental application of biochar was one of the Bioresource Technology journal’s most downloaded papers.
