The Gold at Meadow Gold

The Gold at Meadow Gold
If you haven’t yet registered for this year’s Awards Banquet, now’s the time to do it! You’ll get the chance to meet old friends and colleagues, make new ones, eat, drink, and be merry. You can also applaud this year’s awardees, including CTAHR’s 2018 Outstanding Alumnus, Glenn Muranaka. Glenn, the president and general manager of Meadow Gold Dairies, has long been a valued supporter of the college, having served on the Dean’s Advisory Council, donating ice cream for student events, sponsoring students at the Awards Banquet, and maintaining an important agriculture-related company. Under his leadership, Meadow Gold acts as a generous and responsible community partner, partnering with the Department of Education to promote health, fitness, and nutrition and supporting many community organizations including food banks and hospitals. Glenn has also served as director of the Hawai‘i Food Industry Association, which honored him with its Ni‘o Award of Excellence in 2016. The Banquet will be held on Friday, May 4, at the Ala Moana Hotel, beginning at 5:30. Registration information and more details, including the other honorees, can be found at the Banquet website. The deadline is this Friday, April 20, at 4:00 p.m., so don’t delay!
