ARCS Honolulu visits CTAHR

Mahalo to our friends at the Honolulu chapter of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS Honolulu) for visiting several of our labs in December and meeting with Dean Grewal. Each year, ARCS offers the opportunity for UH faculty to nominate their graduate-level students to receive valuable monetary awards to help further their important research. Visits with ARCS board members help us keep open communication and gather feedback.

Dr. Zhi-Yan “Rock” Du gave the board members a tour of his labs in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering. Earlier this year, ARCS Honolulu honored CTAHR graduate student Ty Shitanaka as one of their 2025 scholars of the year.
