Hoʻomaikaʻi and Mahalo nui loa to Orville Baldos and Teresita Amore of the Dept. of Tropical Plant and Soil Sciences, John Hintze of Magoon Research Station, the UH Horticulture Society, and the students of TPSS 364 and 402 for another terrific pair of poinsettia sales.
More than 700 flowers were planted, nurtured, and sold by the hardworking and enterprising students. Funds raised support the Horticulture Society and TPSS students, who are responsible for the sale each year.
“It’s a great experience for the students involved, especially with the sale’s awesome turnout every year,” says Jacob Olarti, Horticulture Society president and TPSS grad student. “This is an awesome opportunity, not only to gain hands-on experience, but to spread holiday cheer to our community.”
