Cooperative Extension is offering an online informational session exclusively for producers TOMORROW, Thursday, May 28. Participants will learn about research trials and innovative production practices being conducted around Hawai‘i. They’ll also take home organically grown ginger, turmeric, and other goodies.
The online lecture will be 11:00 a.m. to noon, followed by ‘olena pickup 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at several locations: the Wahi‘awa Extension Office, Pearl City Urban Garden Center, and the Waimānalo Research Station. Corms of the turmeric cultivar ‘Roma’, which has a high concentration of curcumin, will be given out to producers to grow.
