Express your creativity. The Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) Bachelor of Science program explores the world of fashion in Hawai‘i and around the globe. It prepares students for careers in design, retailing, or merchandising. Students use analytical methods to understand trends, master practices to create products, and learn techniques to effectively move goods into the retail environment.

Fashion Design

Master the foundations of sewing, pattern development, and illustration, then move into advanced classes to explore sophisticated methods of apparel construction with design and 2D-3D computer-aided design tools (CAD). Complete your program by creating a collection showcased in the college's annual fashion show.

  

Fashion Merchandising

Learn the basics of fashion forecasting, merchandising development and supply chain management, retail store design, entrepreneurship, and trade. Utilize computer software used in the industry.

Merchandising Minor
