Background

Jari S.K. Sugano serves as the Oahu County Administrator for Oahu County effective May 2020. This website host her previous work as an Extension Agent with commercial edible cropping systems with the University of Hawaii at Manoa, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (UH CTAHR), Department of Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences (PEPS). 

She previously served as the statewide coordinator of the Local & Immigrant Farmer Education Program (LIFE) and co-coordinator for the Western SARE Professional Development Program and co-program leader for the Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program (SOAP). 

She currently serves as the Emeritus Editor for the Sustainable and Organic Agriculture Program's  Hanāi ‘Ai Newsletter.

Prior to coming to UH CTAHR, she worked for Del Monte Hawaii and the USDA Forest Service.
