RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT RAPID ʻŌHIʻA DEATH

We have an energetic and collaborative team of people working on education and outreach for Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death. Our team reaches out to many audiences, especially to those who commonly come into contact with ʻōhiʻa. We strive to provide the latest information and recommendations for dealing with ROD and helping prevent the spread of this deadly tree disease. We work with schools, communities and event organizers to share about the importance of ʻōhiʻa and the threat posed by ROD. We conduct activities, field workshops, talks and informational tabling so that community members can feel confident in understanding and sharing what we know and what we can all do to help. By learning and working together, we can ensure ʻōhiʻa continue to provide fresh water, cultural inspiration, habitat, aesthetic beauty and recreation in our islands.
